Hello Friends!

Party time is getting closer!  You still have time to get your registrations in. Contact Mary or Cheryl if you need a new registration form or have anything we can help you with.  We also have a “Classmates helping Classmates” fund, thanks to some very kind friends.  If you would like to come and are truly in need of some help to cover the cost of the reunion, please contact us.  ***All those attending via “Classmates helping Classmates” will remain confidential.  

New information:  For anyone needing lodging, I do have 6 rooms with confirmation numbers available for September 9-12 at the contracted rate of $104 per night.  If you are interested, or know of someone who is during that time, please contact me through the website “contact us” tab or at rccentralstevens1971@gmail.com.  Other classes are having reunions then, so let them know, too. I will be releasing them back to the Ramkota close to our reunion.

Hello friends!  🎉❤️💙🎉

The reunion is fast approaching.  You still have time to get your registrations in.  Something we need to make you aware of… we have to put in guaranteed count for the food by the beginning of September.  That count will be the number of people who we have REGISTERED.  At the 45th, we had a large number of people pay at the door.  Those people were not included in the food count.  In all fairness to those who have planned ahead, please register now if you plan to attend so we have an accurate food count.  We want you to come!!!  Please help us out.  Register NOW!  Spread the word!  

If Mary or I can answer any questions, if you cannot make it all 3 nights, if you genuinely need help with the cost of the reunion, or if you need another registration form, please contact us.  

****The ‘at the door’ price will be higher.  $150 for all 3 nights or $50 per night.  Everyone who attends will have to pay the nightly cost to get in.  Again, in fairness to all, no exceptions.****

50th Reunion Update:  

Fellow 71’ers! The countdown is officially on!  You still have time to send in your registration forms.  You may be able to sneak your registration in up to a week prior to the reunion.  ; )  We are at 186 and climbing!  If you need a form, please contact Mary or Cheryl at rcentralstevens1971@gmail.com or through the “Contact Us” tab.  

New Activity:  When planning your trip to the Black Hills next month, another activity to consider/ include is a visit to the Reptile Gardens. Between September 9-11, if you tell them you are with the Class of 1971, they will honor a group discount. Cost is $10 for adults, $7 for youth (11-15) and $6.00 for ages 4-10. So come with your guest, your grandkids, or a group of your friends and enjoy the Reptile Gardens. There are a number of Gardens alumni in the Class of 71!  Enjoy a walk down memory lane.

Reunion Update:  Important dates

Keep those registrations coming in!  We have extended the sign up date to August 15, 2021. If you need a new registration form to send in, please contact us at rccentralstevens1971@gmail.com or email us through the “Contact Us” tab on the website. 

If you need to (or think you may need to) make hotel reservations at the Ramkota at our group rate, you must make them by July 22, 2021.  They have a reasonable cancellation policy.  Our block of rooms will be released on July 23 to the public. (Hotel rooms are at a premium and will be sold out quickly.)  Please see the details on the “Reunion Lodging” tab.  You must call the Ramkota Hotel, not any other site, and tell them you are from “Rapid City Class of 1971’ in order to get our group rate of $104/night.  

We know car rentals are at a premium, also.  A classmate suggested that you may be able to find a more reasonable price by downloading the TURO app. (Please note: we  are not associated with this app at all.  Just passing on a suggestion made by a classmate.)

For those of you holding your breath for reunion registration forms, the reunion committee is running horribly late.  In fact, I'd fire them. Seriously.  FIRE THEM!!!  Or send chocolate... Ha!  We have run into a small glitch with mailing. Nothing serious. Registration forms should be out by early-mid June. Stay tuned and thank you for your patience.
